Rickie Fowler and Justin Thomas battle it out left handed at Michael Jordan’s FL golf course

A few days after nearly shooting 59 Rickie Fowler was back out with his good friend Justin Thomas.

Here they are again teeing it up at Michael Jordan’s course, The Grove XXIII, in Florida – but this time they switched things up a bit and were playing in left-handed.

And the results, even in this enormous thirst for watching any sort of ‘live’ golf, were fascinating. To add to the occasion the pair were dressed in mismatched clothing and JT’s dad, Bob, and Fowler’s wife, Allison Stokke, made up the fourball.

Here’s a little clip of what took place…

Here are the highlights…

At the halfway point Thomas led by five – 44-49 – but then turned the game upside down with a run of 7-7-6 which happen to coincided with a ‘huge par’ from Fowler on 10. One Thomas tee shot was followed with an amazing club throw. At 14 Thomas hit yet another drive out of bounds which again coincided with a Fowler fairway bunker shot from 160 yards which found the green. Thomas described it as “probably the best shot in your life”.

Another par at 15 put Fowler in the lead and, despite a hick up at 17, he closed the match out with a round of 94 to JT’s 101.

There was a bit more footage of Fowler and none of Thomas’s impressive front nine of 44 but you might come to the conclusion that Fowler had the better left-handed swing.

Either way we’re already looking forward to the next one.
