European Ryder Cup hero Nicolai Hojgaard with the perfect example of how to shout FORE!

Nicolai Hojgaard, take a bow. This is a first-class example of how to shout FORE!

It seems just about every week on Tour we see players uttering very little when their ball is heading into a crowd of people wearing nothing but T-shirts and a pair of shorts.

And quite frankly, it’s not on.

A stray golf ball can cause severe injuries to golf fans or even other players and caddies on the course.

It doesn’t take much to just shout. You never know what it could prevent at the end of the day.

All we can say is that we just now hope everyone takes note of Hojgaard’s example in how to shout ‘FORE!’ while he competed in the Rocket Mortgage Classic on the PGA Tour last week.

In a clip that has rightly gone viral, the 2023 European Ryder Cup hero is seen not just shouting golf’s classic four-letter word, but he also uses the addition of ‘FORE RIGHT!’ with a hand signal to make it very clear to the gallery as to the direction of his golf ball.

He then aggressively shouts ‘FORE’ again, and once more for good measure. (video below)

Absolutely superb, Nicolai.

Sadly for Hojgaard he was having to shout ‘FORE!’ quite a lot at Detroit Golf Club in Michigan as he slumped to a solo 66th finish.

That saw him finish the week 14 shots behind eventual winner Cam Davis, who saw out his second Rocket Mortgage Classic.

Davis first won the title in 2021.
