Danielle Kang just set the gold standard for golfers throwing out first pitches

Whilst on a break, golf stars from both the PGA and LPGA took in some of the biggest sports away from their natural habitats.

Recent Masters champion and world number one, Jon Rahm, was courtside for Game 3 of the NBA Western Conference semi-final play-off game between the Phoenix Suns and the Denver Nuggets, whilst Danielle Kang represented the women by throwing the ceremonial first pitch before the game between her hometown San Francisco Giants and Milwaukee Brewers.

30-year-old Kang has had a very mixed season so far, finishing in third place at the HSBC Womens World Championship before coming second to Pauline Roussin-Bouchard at the first Aramco Series event in Singapore.

Although having to withdraw from LPGA Drive On Championship in Arizona midway through her first round, Kang qualified for the US team for last week’s International Crown at TPC Harding. The team was knocked out in the semi-finals, beaten 2&1 by eventual winners, Thailand.

In between the rounds, Kang took time out to visit the Oracle Park Stadium, where she was presented with the honor of the first throw.

Despite her admission of not having “thrown a baseball in three years,” the six-time LPGA winner did a very nice job!
