Greg Norman says “LIV Golf has revived the sport in record time”

LIV Golf CEO Greg Norman is ready to “tie a bow on this historic year with a dramatic and innovative team championship” in Miami.

Norman believes his controversial Saudi-backed Invitational Series has “revived the sport in record time” ahead of hosting the Team Championship season finale at Trump National Doral.

A staggering $50 million is up for grabs for the 12 qualified teams in the eighth and final LIV Golf Team Championship this week, with $16 million going to the winning team.

LIV Golf tournaments have put up $255 million in prize money across eight tournaments this season.

A new LIV Golf League will come into force in 2023, which will feature 12 established team captains and $405 million in total prize money across 14 tournaments.

It is also understood that at least four current PGA Tour players in the World Top 50 will be making a move to LIV Golf ahead of the new season.

Norman said:

“LIV Golf has revived the sport in record time during our beta-test season.
“Players are celebrating the team format which is bringing new energy and audiences to golf that the game deserves.
“It’s fitting that we tie a bow on this historic year with a dramatic and innovative team championship that will propel us into a team-focused league from 2023 onward.”

LET US GET VERY SERIOUS FOR A MOMENT. LIV is nothing more than the Saudis buying recognition and admission to the real world, using unlimited dollars and a lackey named Greg Norman.
How much do you think that Norman would have achieved without Saudi backing?? ZILCH, NADA, NOTHING!
And Norman spews self congratulatory gratuitous paragraphs as if it was all his doing, utter bullshit.
Pro golfers work hard for their money so when someone comes along and offers buckets of it to a select few, most would not turn it dow – exactly what has happened.
The select pro golfers are witting pawns in the Saudi game and getting ridiculously overly well paid for it – good luck to them.
And you are all aware that Norman divested himself of all US assets over recent years, right.
He is nothing but a Saudi paid lackey, empty of any meaning human philosophical thoughts, a prime example of the Peter Principle at work.
Do the Saudis care at all for Norman and what he stands for?? ZILCH, NADA, NOTHING!
