After missing the cut at Sawgrass, Ian Poulter decided to tee it up at Lake Nona Golf & Country Club over the weekend, where he was left aghast and angry by the number of pitch marks that hadn’t been repaired.
The Englishman began with the caption aimed at the course’s members and guests: “Please repair your f____ing pitch marks please. This is criminal.”
He then started a monologue to express his frustration, saying, “Shame I’m not at TPC but anyway, we’re at Lake Nona, we’ve got one of the purest greens anywhere in Florida, but come on guys, seriously.”
Poulter then broke into a rant about the marks which weren’t repaired and sarcastically showcased how a pitch mark is fixed before closing with “Lazy people, repair your pitch marks.”

Isn’t Ian repairing these pitch marks INCORRECTLY? ❌
Doesn’t conventional wisdom say to pull the grass towards the center and not lift the turf, which could add air that destroys the roots?
You must be from up North. In the South, it’s mostly Bermuda grass greens and that’s how you fix pitch marks on Bermuda.
You’re absolutely correct. Lifting from the middle is worse than not repairing at all.
Try playing a muni course !!!
