There are plenty of pet peeves for players on the range and the course, but there’s a growing trend that seems to be bothering golfers more than others.
In a post on Reddit, one user /medousabicycling sounded off on the issue – people playing music on the range with no headphones.

GolfWRX reposted the complaint on our Instagram pages, and the vast majority were in agreement with the original post, with one user saying:
“Why are ya’ll blasting music on the range like you’re walking out of an NHL locker room for Game 7 of the Stanley Cup?”
While another chimed in saying:
“One of the pleasures of playing golf is appreciating nature and the beauty around you. Listening to music blasting 2 holes away sucks. Life is noisy. Take some time to enjoy the silence. You might surprise yourself.”
However, not all were in agreement with the original poster, with one user adding:
“It’s not a big deal, as long as it isn’t blasting, have fun, enjoy your round.”

Music is a very irritating subject on the golf course. It emanated from the number of people who came to the game during covid. The etiquette of the game was impacted during this timeframe with the “me” generation. Disregard of other people .
Loud music or any loud noise doesn’t belong on the golf course. It’s a time to enjoy the outdoors and peaceful time. If you want loud music go to a concert!!
