For the hardcore golf fan, this past Sunday is what legendary NHL play-by-play man Doc Emrick would classify as “helter-skelter action.” Firewagon golf, if you will. Women’s Scottish Open drama, European Tour drama, PGA Tour FedEx Cup bubble drama, PGA Tour six-man playoff drama, Korn Ferry Tour drama, U.S. Amateur drama, PGA Tour Champions drama. Name the tour, and something batsh-t crazy was happening on it.

To say any specific player won the day would be unfair to the collective group of players who won the day on Sunday. It was more like they were each passing the baton to one another. Ryann O’Toole passed it to Chesson Hadley, who passed it to Kevin Kisner, who passed it to James Piot. Finally, the baton ended up in the hands of journeyman Doug Barron, who ended the day with a bang, literally.

Barron, a journeyman in every sense of the word, claimed his second PGA Tour Champions victory at the Shaw Charity Classic on Sunday in Canada. His excitement was extremely apparent when he began to do a happy dance before the final putt actually dropped:

That two-putt birdie marked Barron’s third straight birdie to close out the round, giving him five total birdies on the day. He also had an eagle and just one bogey, finishing with a six-under 64 to clip four-time PGA Tour winner Steve Flesch by two strokes. He went out and took it, as he explained in a hilariously profane manner in his post-round interview. This is the hot mic to end all hot mics:

We don’t age shame here, but we’d imagine the majority of folks watching the old guys tour are old guys themselves, and they either fell out of their chair when they heard this, or they absolutely loved it. Sure, F-Bombs on live TV are technically “bad,” but when they are delivered like Barron delivered this one, you simply have to allow it. The way he played Sunday was the definition of going out there and effing taking it. Why describe it any other way?
