PGA Tour pro ruffles feathers after blasting Brooks Koepka’s LIV Golf win

PGA Tour player Joel Dahmen has taken aim at Brooks Koepka’s victory at LIV Golf Jeddah.

Dahmen has previously blasted LIV Golf players over them wanting to come back and play on the PGA Tour.

He also recently took a swipe at Bryson DeChambeau.

After a frustrating season for Koepka, the LIV Golf star clinched an emotional victory with a birdie on the third playoff hole against fellow Smash GC member Peter Uihlein.

Smash GC also took team honours, as Koepka walked away with a check for $4.75 million.

Dahmen, a one-time winner on the PGA Tour, certainly ruffled plenty of feathers with his tweet following Koepka’s latest win.

“If a players [sic] wins a golf tournament in a forest and no one sees it, does it count?” tweeted Dahmen on Monday morning.

Some golf fans were loving Dahmen’s choice of words, while others were questioning how a one-time PGA Tour winner could even have the audacity to criticize a tournament won by a four-time major champion.

The viewing figures from YouTube did not paint a great picture, especially in round one.

Things improved slightly over the weekend, but despite an exciting finish that unfolded between Smash GC members Koepka and Uihlein, it is fair to say the majority of golf fans saw LIV Golf Jeddah as something of a turn off.

LIV Golf now has a week off in the schedule before heading into its season-ending LIV Golf Team Championship in Miami.

Those on the Saudi funded golf if you can call it that aren’t playing for the love of the game they are greedy and playing for the money why do they want to sugar coat it

And how many of the players on the PGA Tour are playing for free (the love of the game, as you call it)? Do you drive to work using gasoline where the oil was brought into the US from the Saudi’s? You know you make the Saudi’s more money by buying gasoline produced by oil imported from Saudi Arabi than any player on the LIV Tour.

So you beat 5 capable players . . . you got paid . . . that was the point in leaving . . . so you left us . . . now we leave you
All of you know what you were signing up for and you received/cashed the check. Be happy . . want to better yourself? play better golf where you have chosen to play

the LIV guys were sold a bill of goods. they accepted it, cashed the checks. Now live with it. 40 years ago none of these guys were playing professional golf and it grew without them
God forbid, if the top 300 players in the world were whisked off of the face of the earth . . . I believe a new scoring record would be set in the next PGATOUR event . . . golf talent is that deep if not even deeper . . . want proof? Let the guys from only the canadian tour be the only eligble players for the next PGATOUR event, purse $15+ Million . . . watch these kids play . . . GOLF RULES . . . individuals contribute

I guess I would be scared too, if all those players came back to play and win all the tournaments again. The PGA has room now to let a lot of the Korn Ferry players to move up to the regular tour. It would be nice i the PGA would admit they just don’t like LIV golf and quit trying to make it a political issue. The PGA has made it a point that Saudi money is blood money and their human right issues are the reason they don’t accept LIV Golf, yet the US has not complained about Saudi Petroleum and other goods they import from them? Am I to assume that only the PGA is to regulate where players are to play golf- they already dictate what and how to wear your clothes on the PGA. I guess golf and politics go hand in hand maybe make biden the PGA commissioner he’s very good about being two-faced.

It’s really something to see and hear people talking about the greedy players that went to play for LIV golf. Is this because all the PGA players are playing for the walk in the sun? Does anyone understand the meaning of PGA (Professional Golf Association) They are their for the money, golfers are paid athletes in the PGA=MONEY. I don’t believe money should be the argument between LIV and PGA, also the political argument doesn’t hold water, so why is the PGA fighting – they just don’t want a rival league that they have no control over???? Of course it also comes down to MONEY pga tournament 5 million total purse – LIV Golf tournament, 5 million 1st place payout. Oh I forgot PGA players also get those swell trophys that only the player and his friends get to see once the tournament is finished. Quick, name the winner of the Genesis open 2018 but his legacy is remembered by someone, I think?????????
