PGA Tour star Sahith Theegala launches club after errant tee shot at Valspar Championship
PGA Tour star Sahith Theegala was seen hurling his iron in disgust after an errant tee shot into the par-3 4th during the second round of the Valspar Championship.
Theegala, 27, flung his tee shot out to the right into the rough.
Within a second of his ball in the air, Theegala threw his iron to the side of the tee box.
Golf Channel analyst and one-time PGA Tour winner Brandel Chamblee tweeted: “It’s getting out of control. It used to be that such antics drew fines from the PGA Tour, now they are encouraged to “keep it real” … these displays will echo into the future.”
To Theegala’s credit, he still got his ball up and down for par.
He went on to card a round of 72.
