Pro failed to break 75 this week and made $120K: Here’s a full breakdown of the LIV payouts

It’s been a busy few days for the LIV Golf Series.

The breakaway league officially got underway this week in London at the Centurion Club. While the first event seemed like a success, the biggest news from the week may have been the additions they made to their roster.

Bryson DeChambeau, the 2020 U.S. Open champion, will be making the move to the Saudi-backed, Greg Norman-led league in a few weeks in Portland. Patrick Reed, the 2018 Masters champion, is making the change as well.

Boy Lefty showed his true form, he can’t compete against the younger guys but what does he care he got his big sign up bonus, I think the Masters committee should ban him from the Masters for his disrespect he showed at the LIV event towards them, they barred Gary McCord after his remarks why not do the same to Phil???

Hey they are pros, it’s the profession they make a living with.
So we now pay college athletes and no one blinks an eye
The PGA is not a monopoly, players can choose where they want to play. If the PGA decides to ban them so be it
Interesting that a proNFL backup quarterback can literally sit on the bench and earn a few million per year, but that’s ok
The LIV is real world 2022 competition the PGA didn’t see coming.
It’s good for the players and it’s good for the fans therefore it’s GOOD for GOLF !!!!!

I think the main thing that the Saudi league won’t do is help charities in the towns they play in like the PGA does. The PGA has given millions and Millions to Charity.

GREAT TOUR FOR THE OVER THE HILL GANG…..I’M SURE THEY NEED THE MONEY IN THE TWILIGHT OF THEIR CAREERS

Tom Brady makes $1.5 million every game. Even if he throws 4 interceptions and they lose…and he only plays half the game….. if the sport of golf is profitable, and the sponsors see fit to pay players enormous amounts of money, what’s the problem? The American marketplace will decide if those salaries will continue. God bless America.

I can’t begin to suggest that I know the budgets for PGA tournaments or for LIV events, but it seems to me that the big difference with paying more into the players pockets is that the big value of PGA is the charity money that goes to local organizations in each tournament’s local area. I have not read or heard that LIV events have a similar payout and suspect not. It is easy to suggest player greed is the big factor and remember that such greed at a much lower level was a factor in spinning off the TPC organization from the PGA many years ago, but at least the local sponsors still promoted their local charitable relationships then and now.

LET’S GET REAL! the true source of the tournament charitable contributions is the free services provided by the 1000 to 1500 volunteers at each event. If they were each paid a duly correct wage there would be very little left for charities. So the volunteers should be getting all the recognition for giving but that is usurped by a disingenuous PGA to appear all honorable and charitable, what BS!!

Obvious; because Phil will add to the crowd while Gary would not. Its all about money, other dialogue are just distracting fillers.
