Over the weekend, Rory McIlroy found himself on the wrong side of an analogy made by Reince Priebus, who is a former chairman of the Republican National Committee during an episode of This Week with George Stephanopoulos.

“She wanted to clarify the two most important issues that are facing these two candidates, the economy and immigration and she bombed like Rory at the U.S. Open.”
McIlroy, of course, lost at Pinehurst despite having a two-shot lead with five holes to play. Rory bogeyed two of his last three holes and missed two putts inside five feet as Bryson DeChambeau captured his second U.S. Open championship.
McIlroy recently played in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, finishing 25th, and will now take some time off and take a trip to New Zealand with some friends.
“I’m going to join some good friends playing some of the great golf courses of New Zealand such as Tara Iti, Kauri Cliffs, and great courses like those.”
We will likely see Rory next in “The Showdown” in November, which will be a match with himself and Scottie Scheffler taking on LIV players Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka.

Hey, The comment was spot on
Is he a great golfer, clearly yes!
Has he to be kind “fallen short” the past few years, clearly yes as well.
It was a factual statement about his where Rory is with his game now!!!
