Time for 9 – Don’t Forget to Post

Although we all would prefer to play a full round of 18 holes it’s not always possible.  Luckily, the USGA allows nine-hole rounds to be posted and used towards your Handicap Index!

Sometimes all you have time for is a quick nine holes.  If you want your score to count, make sure the course you choose and your round meets the following guidelines:

  • The course has a nine-hole USGA Course Rating and Slope Rating. How do you know? Check the directory here:  https://ncrdb.usga.org/NCRDB/
  • You complete, at a minimum, seven holes. So… even if you were out to play 18 but you only finish seven before having to dash home due to commitments, emergencies, or weather, you’re still good to post.

Are you a more common nine-hole player than 18 holes?  You’re still good to go!  There are currently no restrictions in place that state you can only post X amount of nine-hole scores per month or year.  Play nine to your heart’s desire!

WHO NEEDS A USGA HANDICAP INDEX? YOU!
