Bryson DeChambeau ripped an incredible drive onto the green to 10 feet at the 339-yard par-4 2nd hole at Torrey Pines North Course on day one of the Farmers Insurance Open.
DeChambeau birdied the par-5 1st hole when getting up and down from the greenside bunker and he then stepped up onto the 2nd tee to blast a drive straight onto the green.
Unfortunately DeChambeau missed his eagle attempt but it would be the simplest of threes for a birdie-birdie start for the week.
It’s fair to say his new Cobra driver is working nicely.
DeChambeau is playing the first two rounds alongside fan favorites Jordan Spieth and Rickie Fowler.
All players compete on the North and South Courses for the first two rounds, and then those that make the halfway cut see out the tournament over the weekend on the South Course.
DeChambeau, an eight-time winner on the PGA Tour, is bidding to win his first Farmers Insurance Open.
The big-hitting American’s last win came at the Arnold Palmer Invitational in March 2021.
