WATCH: Jon Rahm gets snippy with reporter over money question at PGA Tour finale

Jon Rahm revealed his biggest pet peeve about the PGA Tour’s season finale is that it’s made out to be ‘all about the money’.

As far as Rahm is concerned, the 30 PGA Tour players who made it to East Lake aren’t thinking about how much money each shot is worth.

There is a $75m prize purse this year, with $18m being awarded to the FedEx Cup champion. Next year, that is set to increase to $25m.

“It’s one of my pet peeves when they make this tournament all about money because I think it takes away from it,” he said after the second round.

Rahm made it clear that he is in an extremely privileged position of vast wealth.

That being said, the Spaniard claimed even early in his career when the money was more important he was still firing at pins.

“If you want to be a great player, you’re going to have to go for the win instead of thinking about your bank account,” he added.
