Tiger Woods was on a golf course on Friday.

The golf course, the Jupiter Island Practice Facility, was his own, and it’s in his backyard. He was on crutches, and his right foot was in a walking boot. He was standing next to Bugs, one of his two dogs, and was wearing shorts and a backward hat. But in the first photograph he has shared since his car crash exactly two months ago, Woods showed he’s at least making progress after undergoing multiple procedures on his right leg.

Until Friday, Woods’ updates were limited to just words.

Since the Feb. 23 accident in the Los Angeles area, the Twitter account of the 15-time major winner has tweeted four times about his recovery, including on March 16, when Woods said he was returning to his Jupiter Island, Fla., home. Since the start of April, Woods has also tweeted about the Augusta National Women’s Amateur, college basketball and Hideki Matsuyama’s victory at the Masters, and both Rory McIlroy and Justin Thomas said at Augusta National that they had recently visited him and said that Woods was doing well.

“It’s been good just to go hang out with him,” he said. “We are fortunate with the basketball to just hang out and watch sports like we would any normal time. Yeah, it’s been good to see him and hang out with him.”

Woods’ Friday photograph, which he shared over his Instagram account, also confirmed that he is improving his practice facility. On April 14, Floridian Dakota Atkinson shared an overhead photo that showed that three of its four greens and most of his grass were being worked on.

“My course is coming along faster than I am 😃. But it’s nice to have a faithful rehab partner, man’s best friend,” Woods wrote next to his picture.

One hour after Woods shared the photo, the post had over 280,000 likes and 1,800 comments.
