Golf fans divided over clip of Bryson DeChambeau telling marshal to “move out the way”

Bryson DeChambeau says “you can move out the way” to a marshal who helped identify his ball in deep rough at The Open.

As we join the video, which was filmed during the final round of The Open at Royal Portrush on Sunday, we see the volunteer point and tell DeChambeau where his ball is located in the thick rough.

After a polite “thank you,” DeChambeau then followed with a “you can move out of the way.” (video below)

The second quote has very much divided opinion with golf fans on social media.

The video, which was shared by Rick Golfs on X / Twitter, has now had 1.6m views and counting at the time of publication.

Some fans consider there is nothing wrong with DeChambeau’s comments and that he was clearly just frustrated after seeing his lie.

Other fans are not quite so forgiving though, suggesting the LIV Golf superstar should have shown more respect to the spotter who found his ball.

DeChambeau started The Open with his worst ever score at a major with a round of 78.

But he rallied thereafter to finish 9-under par and in T10.

DeChambeau is immediately back in action at this week’s LIV Golf UK at JCB in England.

The Crushers GC captain starts the week as the tournament favorite as he goes in search of a fourth LIV title.

Jon Rahm is the defending champion.

Rahm revealed in his press conference why he’s not prepared to follow in DeChambeau’s footsteps when it comes to YouTube.

He’s also voiced an early call for Sergio Garcia to become Ryder Cup captain in 2031.
