PXG will not be renewing contracts for LIV Golf players

In a recent interview with Esquire, PXG founder Bob Parsons revealed that he decided not to renew any player contracts for those who are a part of LIV Golf.

The PXG website has also removed all LIV golfers from the page, and Parsons feels strongly about not including them in his plans going forward.

“With the stuff that went down [on] 9/11, I have a hard time getting involved with [LIV]. I know, sometimes, bygones got to be bygones, and I’ve forgiven a lot of people. One of them is Jane Fonda for what she did during the Vietnam War. I’m no longer angry at her. I get it. She was young and stupid. But I just cannot bring myself to do anything with [LIV], and the guys who are heroes, they all agree with that.”

Pat Perez, Patrick Reed, Hudson Swafford and Jason Kokrak all were under contract with PXG when they switched to LIV from the PGA Tour, but once their contracts ran out, they were not renewed.

“We’ve had some guys that had contracts that went on that tour, and I honored the contracts,” said the former Marine. “But now that the contracts are up, I have no contract with them, and I don’t think they can contract with sponsors with the LIV tour, at least. I don’t know. I could be speaking out of school, but if I had an opportunity to come up and do it, I wouldn’t do it.”

0311 GEn6 I was considering purchasing this set of irons, but now that I see that PXG will not renew contracts with LIV players, then I will stick to Titlest. A company that plays politics is not someone I care to do business with. You need to remember these are players who wore your names for a long time and helped to build your business.

Lol. Almost nobody watches LIV golf. What return on investment is Parsons getting by having ho-hum players on an invisible tour? He didn’t get to be a gazillionaire by making stupid business decisions. And if the former Marine in him doesn’t want his brand cozied up to the Saudis, that’s his call. Almost enough to make me buy another set of PXGs.

Robert: I must respectfully disagree. Mr. Parsons is a true Patriot and being a patriot, he is free to spend his money who place cash over loyalty for those who died in 9/11 and kill American reporters. I respectfully ask that you consider purchasing PXG. They are fine clubs – I know because I own them. Of course Titleist is also a respected name. Mr. Parsons isn’t playing politics. He just has a good memory for abuses against Americans.

The only person playing politics is you Robert. There is nothing political about his decision, it’s about not supporting the people that attacked us. Just because you don’t like his decision, it doesn’t make it “political”.

    100% Support his decision. 👏👏👏

Standing up for what is right. As a fellow VN vet, I salute Mr. Parsons. The Saudi sportwashing and the Pros who signed for blood money should be ashamed. The have no place in the US Open and I for one am glad.

I agree totally with Mr. Parsons. Think I’ll go and upgrade my older PXG irons to a newer set.

BULLS**T, the pros that are playing with LIV are no less PATRIOTS because they chose to play for big payoffs. They are applying their skills where the money is. pxg sells golf equipment to the Saudi’s, Russia, China-so don’t go down the patriot road.

Those that yell so much about being a patriot are nothing but a phony never spent a day “in country”, hell never served in any of the armed forces

Parsons and pxg are phony’s you are a bigot when you use an excuse to hate.

To dismiss LIV players as mediocre, yet play PXG gear, is uh umm oh what’s the word????

I would have thought PXG would stick to golf, and if Bob wants to add running for office to his life, then go for it. China is a bigger threat to my life and to the USA than SArabia is.
