Six-year-old golf prodigy signs Name, Image and Likeness deal

Last weekend, the PNC Championship saw golf legend Vijay Singh team up with his son Qass to defeat the John Daly duo I and II.

Behind them, and in eighth place, were Tiger Woods and son Charlie, for obvious reasons the most-discussed 13-year-old in the golfing world. Both found their respective leg injuries just too much of a handicap to repeat last year’s flying runner-up position, but still looked to have a heap of fun.

Much has been written about the attention placed on Charlie’s shoulders at such a young age, something the 15-time major champ is keen to protect against, so imagine his thoughts at the news that a six-year-old golfer now has a NIL deal. Yes, SIX YEARS OLD!

Golf gear company Sunday Golf recently held a press conference showcasing Patton Green with his father Matt, discussing the revelation that the golf phenom has signed the Name-Image-Likeness deal, making this the youngest such partnership in sports history.

Despite his tender years, Patton has already accumulated several titles, including the 2022 Southern California State Champion for Six and Under alongside nine other first-place finishes in competitive tournaments.

Regarded as one of the hottest golf prospects, Ronan Galvin , CEO of Sunday Golf said:

“Patton is one of the best golfers we’ve ever seen regardless of age,” before continuing, “It’s even more impressive that his character exceeds the level of his game for a person his age. Growing the game and making it a fun experience is the core of what we do, and we’re looking forward to working with Patton to help grow golf at the youth level.”

Patton’s dad, Matt, also seems pretty keen:

“It warms my heart,” he said at the presser. “It was a chance encounter when we first met Sunday Golf, but when they saw Patton and his swing they quickly became enamored with his game. Patton trains every day and it’s a huge accomplishment for him to have the hard work he puts in pay off. We’re so excited for him.”
