WATCH: Dustin Johnson hits huge hosel rocket at LIV Golf finale

Dustin Johnson hit one of the biggest hosel rockets of his career in his match against Phil Mickelson at LIV Golf’s $50m team championship.

Johnson eventually saw off Mickelson 2&1 at Trump National Doral in Miami but he was pushed all the way by the six-time major champion.

His shank arrived on No. 15 when he was 1UP. Mickelson rolled in a birdie putt at the short par-3 but Johnson responded, winning the next two holes at 16 and 17 to defeat Lefty.

Johnson’s 4 Aces advanced to the finals thanks to Pat Perez and Peter Uihlein seeing off the HyFlyers’ James Piot and Brendan Steele 4&3.

Patrick Reed was defeated 4&3 by Cameron Tringale

In the other matches, Bryson DeChambeau’s Crushers advanced with a 2-1 win over the Cleeks.

DeChambeau defeated Martin Kaymer 4&3 and Paul Casey thrashed Richard Bland 6&5. It didn’t matter that Charles Howell III and Anirban Lahiri lost 3&2 to Graeme McDowell and Bernd Wiesberger.

In the third match, Joaquin Niemann’s Torque swept Lous Oosthuizen’s Stinger 3-0.

Bubba Watson’s RangeGoats advanced over Sergio Garcia’s Fireballs with a 2-1 win.

Garcia defeated Watson 4&3, the 2023 individual champion Talor Gooch beat Eugenio Chacarra 2UP and the paring of Thomas Pieters and Harold Varner III won 2&1 against Carlos Ortiz and Abraham Ancer.
