Xander Schauffele has been forced to WD from the Farmers Insurance Open on the PGA Tour having played it for nine straight years.
Schauffele’s team have cited a “medical issue” as the reason for his WD from his hometown event at Torrey Pines.
The San Diego native has been a regular at the Farmers Insurance Open having played it for the last nine years.
But Schauffele will not be there next week.
It marks the second PGA Tour event in a row that Schauffele has had to withdraw from.

Schauffele’s team has also confirmed he will not be participating in next week’s TGL match either.
The World No.2 is a member of New York GC, which also comprises Matt Fitpatrick, Rickie Fowler and Cameron Young.
New York GC were thrashed 9-2 by The Bay GC in the first week of TGL two weeks ago.
Schauffele’s next opportunity to return to PGA Tour action will be in 13 days at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
World No.1 Scottie Scheffler is expected to return to action and make his first start of 2025 at that iconic PGA Tour tournament at the end of the month.
Next week’s Farmers Insurance Open will still feature a number of PGA Tour stars including Collin Morikawa and Ludvig Aberg.
