I’m sure if you haven’t tried the Full Swing golf simulator firsthand, you’ve at least seen the Dude Perfect, Extreme Weather Golf Battle on YouTube.
This video has reached well over 10 million views and shows just how impressive the Full Swing simulator actually is. If you’ve ever wanted to play a quick round at St. Andrews Old Course without traveling all the way to Scotland, you’re in luck – The Full Swing makes that possible. With over 80 courses preloaded into its database, with changing weather conditions, varying levels of difficulty, as well as four different modes of play, the possibilities are endless.
Ease of Use
The Full Swing is as easy as it gets to set up and use. The simulator comes with a laptop preloaded with all the necessary software and is ready to go as soon as the technicians finish installing the unit. It’ll take some time to get accustomed to the Full Swing software, but once you do, setting up a round of golf with you and your friends will only take a few minutes. There are even options to hit the driving range before you start your round of golf!
Once you get everything set up, simply get to hitting. This is one of the few simulators that allows you to use your own personal set of clubs as well as the ability to hit real golf balls. As a player, I have to say that stepping up onto the first tee of Pebble Beach (while standing in my own home) was absolutely incredible! And what happened next made me absolutely speechless. The Full Swing told me not only the yardage but the clubhead speed, ball speed, backspin, sidespin and even launch angle. I didn’t have to go digging for all this information. As soon as I hit my shot all this information automatically popped up on the screen. This changes the Full Swing from not only a fun thing to do with friends on the weekend but also a tool that can help players improve their golf game.
Effectiveness & Details
As I mentioned above, the Full Swing simulator is on a similar level to that of a TrackMan Launch Monitor. It tells you everything you did right and wrong with your shot. When it feels like a miss hit, it shows up as one. The thing I’ve noticed in the last 2 months of owning a Full Swing golf simulator and playing on it nearly every single day is that there’s room for improvement in the short game. Putting and chipping are difficult, but so are putting and chipping on an actual golf course as well.
The Full Swing not only has 2 infrared sensor planes located on the side but also an ION camera located above you. Think of the ION camera as a super intelligent camera with it’s own eyeball that locates your ball and automatically adjusts the alignment on the screen so you’re hitting and seeing exactly where you lie on the course. This high-speed ION camera is the one responsible for capturing all of that data, and the amazing thing is, it does so before the ball even hits the screen.
Full Swing simulators are not cheap. Available right now are three different units, each with separate capabilities and therefore prices range from $19,900 to upwards of $49,000. If you have the ability, as well as the chance to buy one of these units, trust me, do yourself a favor and give them a call right now! The only comparison I can make is if a Top Golf facility joined up with a TrackMan system. The Full Swing is a one-of-a-kind unit and the ability to play the same courses the pros do without leaving the comfort of your own home is absolutely incredible. I don’t know how Full Swing did it, but the courses on the simulator look just as amazing as the real courses themselves – and the ability to hit as many mulligans as I want, is certainly not a bad feature either.
The Full Swing golf simulator gives you the best in realism, game-improvement, competition and entertainment. They have truly outdone themselves with these new simulators they’ve come out with, and the ability to not only get better at golf, but do so in a fun way is game-changing. Plus, being able to roll out of bed, hop on the first tee at the Old Course while drinking a cup of freshly brewed coffee in your own house is worth it right there.
